Viewpoint Careers
STEP 1: PRE-PRODUCTION
A great recruitment video needs to feel authentic, not scripted. The goal for Viewpoint was to capture the genuine culture of the company by letting the employees tell their own stories. To ground those interviews in the real world, we decided to pair them with boots-on-the-ground visuals from active construction environments. Instead of relying on generic stock footage, we realized we could strategically repurpose high-end, cinematic b-roll that I had previously shot while traveling to capture customer case studies.
STEP 2: PRODUCTION
By pulling from a rich library of field footage I had personally filmed on-site with Viewpoint's actual customers, we were able to maximize the value of existing assets without needing an entirely separate location shoot. For the primary production phase of this project, I focused entirely on directing and filming the internal employee interviews, creating a comfortable environment where their genuine passion for the company culture could shine through.
STEP 3: POST-PRODUCTION
With a mountain of interview footage and a deep catalog of custom job-site b-roll, the focus in the edit was pacing and narrative flow. I structured the piece to seamlessly weave the employees' commentary with the rhythm of the construction sites. Clean color grading, cohesive sound design, and subtle graphics were implemented to tie the two distinct sets of footage together into one premium, unified story.
STEP 4: THAT'S A WRAP!
This project is a perfect example of creative asset management—leveraging authentic field footage from customer testimonials to build a powerful, human-centric recruitment tool that helps Viewpoint attract top-tier talent.
